* - Defeating weaker enemies will give you fewer experience points, evenly matched or stronger enemies will get you more experience points.

Each fight session is based on a forumla to determine the hit strength of each opponent.   The hit strength is based on weapon power, experience points, and a random multiplier.   The value of the difference between the opponent's hit strengths is subtracted from the loser's health points.

Welcome to
Maze Keeper© II:
The Battle Begins

This is an updated version of the original Maze Keeper© game.   In addtion to finding doors, keys, and treasure, you will now do battle with thieves, trolls, orcs, and demons.   Also, while most object and beings are stationary, the orcs will chase you, even while offscreen.
The goal of the game is still the same: to complete as many levels as you can and accumulate as much gold and keys as you can.   The levels are more important that the gold, but the gold is the tie-breaker for completing the same number of levels.

Be careful not to waste your money or keys.   If you get stuck behind a locked door without a key and no gold to buy a key, then you are stuck forever. (might as well click "End game now")   Keys are worth 25 gold pieces each at the end of the game, you will also need these to open the doors and locked chests.

Use the arrow buttons to the left of the maze to maneuver through the maze.   Or you can use the numberpad:

Using the keyboard will go much faster that the mouse alternative in Netscape (IE will not show a difference).   You have only a partial view of the whole maze which will scroll as you move.

I have added the ability to save a game in progress and load it at a latter date.   This should help as this can be a lengthy game to complete.
